There was a little girl, called Sonia, who grew up having the most magical experiences, in Nature, since she was a baby and her love for Nature has never changed, as she grew up.
When she was a baby, her family used take her to the beach, in the morning, during the summer, and allow her to crawl to the sea and play with some of sea animals, that it was still possible to find under the sand. There was no fear of waves, fishes or algae... she'd stay in the water for hours, as if it was her natural environment. She was taught how to swim, in the sea, not in a swimming pool. In the afternoon, she'd go to one of the pine tree forests, close to her house, have lunch, climb trees, build dens, have her naps and run freely. There was one massive rule though...She was not allowed to damage nature in any way. She was taught to love, respect and protect it instead.
The years passed and most of the pine tree forests disappeared, the trees were cut down and the area turned into buildings. The beaches, she was used to go to, no longer had any fish, algae or clams under the sand, only rubbish left in the sand or thrown into the ocean. It was heartbreaking...something had to be done.
One day, when she was at the university, her International Management teacher asked the class, to think of their dream job or business and have a project done about it. Her dream was to be able to make her own cosmetics and home decorations, the most natural, sustainable way and at affordable prices, so everyone could have access to the nice products, made from ingredients and resources, Mother Nature provides us, while being mindful of how we'd have access to them and still protect our planet.
Many years passed, until the dream was able to come true...
She started her first skincare business in 2015, but due to a need to rebrand, she decided to close it down and create a new one, similar, but not exactly the same.
AhoTuLag, was born in 2021.
She decided to create a natural skin care when her youngest son, Connor, was battling multiple skin allergies and eczema. She looked for the high street for natural products that would be gentle on Connor’s super sensitive skin, but he had a harsh reaction to all, so she decided to make her own.
She was so impressed by the results, of the products, that she decided to follow her old dream, and started making her own beauty products with natural and organic ingredients that were both gentle on our skin and respect our planet.
From the very beginning, her principles meant that product performance and ethical practice were never sacrificed for profit. She does not use SLS, parabens, phthalates, petrochemicals or synthetic fragrances or colourants, and does not test on animals.
Her love for our Planet drove her to always buy the ingredients from sustainable and certified suppliers, in order to respect and preserve nature as much as possible. she believes that Nature blesses us with the most amazing ingredients, in order to have a healthy and happy life. It is up to us to use them, in the most sustainable way, and Love our Planet.
This is the story of how AhoTuLag was born. I hope you have enjoyed it!

Love,
Sonia xx
